What should I buy?
Refurbished computers can represent great value for money, make excellent home/office computers and offer a lower cost entry to the world of PC Gaming.

Both AMD and Intel offer a range of affordable and performance solutions for home/office and gaming use. As these options are constantly changing we recommend checking out the latest recommendations in our CPU buyers guide here.
While older generations of i7 and even i9 processors made some sense, this is not as true today with modern i5 processors offering great gaming performance at a significantly lower cost. Unless you’re spending $2000+ on a PC or $900+ on a graphics card, or doing video or non-gaming workloads, spending the extra money on an i7 or i9 upgrade isn’t going to deliver the same bang for buck performance upgrade that spending the same amount of money on a graphics card upgrade would achieve. More information can be found in our CPU buyers guide here.
A graphics card is what makes the difference between a gaming PC and a regular PC. The graphics card renders the entire environment in 3D and the better the graphics card, the better the quality of the graphics, the higher the FPS (frames per second) and the more competitive the gamer (higher FPS improves accuracy in gaming). As graphics card options are constantly changing we recommend checking out the latest recommendations in our graphics card buyers guide here.
We recommend starting with our Buyers Guide for a comprehensive and informative set of information and tools to start your journey. You can find our buyers guide here.
This question is asked by customers on a daily basis and we would love to be able to provide a simple answer to this question!
Unfortunately, the answer is… it depends. How many FPS you will get in a game depends not only on the hardware you select, but on:
- which game you’re playing
- what resolution you’re playing at
- what game settings you’re using (view distance, detail levels etc)
We’ve got more information on this here and some indicative FPS ranges for a selection of games here.

Yes! You can pay for your order using multiple different payment methods such as Visa + Zip or Afterpay + Paypal. Instructions on how to complete checkout using multiple payment methods is available here.
Split Payment is for using multiple payment methods at the same time to complete your purchase, not for buying a PC in multiple instalments over time. We don’t currently offer a Layby option. For instalment plan payments we recommend using one of our Buy-Now Pay Later options (Afterpay, Klarna, Zip, Paypal) or our Studio 19 Rental option.Â
Sorry, we only accept Afterpay and Humm on PC purchases due to the high cost of these payment methods. If you are purchasing upgrade services in-store then we will consider accepting Afterpay or Humm on the combined purchase.
More information on rental options and applications can be found here.

Yes and No. We work hard to maintain competitive pricing, however we also try to provide superior service. If you are buying a PC and find that one of our prices is not competitively priced then please contact us and we’ll see what we can do about it. We don’t price match full PC builds based on individual component prices from multiple different suppliers (that doesn’t offset the support nightmare or dealing with multiple companies in event of an issue, or the extra shipping costs).
